Sumy region
On the night of June 12, Russian forces launched a massive strike on the Shostka community. The attack killed a 44-year-old woman, while another resident suffered severe injuries.
Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, said the Russian army used drones to attack a civilian infrastructure facility. A three-story non-residential building also sustained significant damage.

"Unfortunately, a 44-year-old woman was killed in the attack. Another woman, aged 33, suffered serious injuries. Doctors are providing her with the necessary care," Hryhorov said.
Later, Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia, said Russian forces had targeted railway infrastructure in the Sumy region during the attack. Stations, railway terminals, electrical signaling posts, and substations came under fire.
He urged railway workers not to ignore safety rules during air raid alerts.
"All the instructions are in place, all monitoring systems are operating — it is critically important not to lose a single minute," the head of Ukrzaliznytsia stressed.
Zaporizhzhia region
In addition, Russian forces carried out 949 strikes on 44 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region over the past day. Attacks on the Zaporizhzhia and Polohy districts killed two people and injured three others.
According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the occupiers carried out 18 airstrikes on Malokaterynivka, Zarichne, Novooleksandrivka, Danylivka, Krynyvka, Odarivka, Tavriiske, Lystivka, Orikhiv, Huliaipilske, Novoselivka, Rivne, Verkhnia Tersa, Omelnyk, and Svoboda.
In addition, Russian forces used 715 drones of various types, mostly FPV drones. Zaporizhzhia, Kushuhum, Novoyakovlivka, Richne, Bilenke, Lysohirka, Kanivske, Rozumivka, Yurkivka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Vozdvyzhivka, Dobropillia, Rybne, Kosivtseve, Preobrazhenka and Verkhnia Tersa came under attack.
Officials also recorded one attack with a multiple-launch rocket system on Zaliznychne.
Russian forces launched another 215 artillery strikes on Richne, Novoyakovlivka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Verkhnia Tersa, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Vozdvyzhivka, Dobropillia, Kosivtsev,e and Rybne.
Over the past day, authorities received 68 reports of damage to infrastructure, residential buildings, and vehicles.
Background
It should be noted that on the morning of June 11, Russians attacked infrastructure in Konotop, Sumy region, leaving the city without a water supply. As reported, air defense forces neutralized 195 of the 221 drones with which the Russian invaders attacked Ukraine starting on the evening of June 10.
