Russian occupation forces continue to strike Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
Because many energy facilities have been damaged in these attacks, scheduled hourly power outages are in effect across the country every day.
Back in March, Ukraine and Russia agreed to an energy truce. However, Russia repeatedly violated it by striking energy facilities in front-line areas.
About ten days after the truce began, the occupiers hit Kherson, leaving tens of thousands of people without electricity.
The following day, Russian forces attacked oil and gas facilities in Poltava.
President Volodymyr Zelensky later emphasized one of the main problems with this format of ceasefire: there were no third parties to monitor compliance with the agreement.
