Ukrainian Officer: GUR Trooper Showed The Truth About The Situation In Pokrovsk4.11.2025, 16:22 2,402 Photo: AFU General StaffDid the Russians lie?The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry conducted a daring operation in Pokrovsk - special forces units were landed in the town, which were later punched through a ground corridor. What is known about the GID operation in Pokrovsk? What details can already be revealed about the actions of Ukrainian special forces? The website Charter97.org talked to military expert, reserve major of the National Guard of Ukraine Alexei Getman about this:- Several factors that we can analyze, including common sense and logic. First, the Russians said that the situation around Pokrovsk is fully controlled, that there are problems with supplying garrisons in Pokrovsk, that all roads and airspace are fully controlled. How much of this corresponds to the truth? Two Black Hawk helicopters flew over and landed paratroopers. How can things be controlled if not two drones, but two helicopters flew over, dropped off the paratroopers and flew back? That's the first fact. The next fact is that our special forces have managed to penetrate the corridor. The Russians said there are 11,000 there, 20,000 elsewhere, and further along that front line there are 170,000 Russian troops, almost a quarter of all Russian troops that are on the front line, which is 1,245 kilometers. The territory where our paratroopers landed was kind of controlled by the Russian armed forces. Simple question: how can 12 men break through a corridor that holds at least 11,000?A simple logical conclusion can be drawn. Is this how the Russians hold the territory they are talking about? Are they so in complete control of all the logistics they talk about? Let's draw the conclusion on our own. Let's not claim they are not telling the truth. That's their truth. But only two helicopters flew in, and 12 people broke through the corridor where the 11,000 are allegedly.- North of Pokrovsk, Ukrainian troops are carrying out successful counterattacks. What results have already been achieved and how much do they affect the overall situation in this direction?- About 200 square kilometers have been liberated in the Dobropillya direction. There the Russians conducted a rather adventurous operation, when they advanced on light equipment for 10 or more kilometers, but the front line was no more than 1 kilometer wide. Obviously, the people who were advancing were doomed, because the area is shot from both sides not only by drones, but also by conventional small arms.Naturally, it is almost impossible to bring something for those people who advanced for those 10 kilometers. Well, how can you bring something if you have to drive 10 kilometers along the area, which from both sides of the front is shot even with automatic rifles, not to mention drones and other things. Obviously - no way.A second question: how many weapons and ammunition could those people who drove through have brought with them? A crate if it fit in a motorcycle, and most likely it was a "zinc". That is about 1,000 rounds of ammunition. This is enough for a few hours, well, not even for one day of fighting. Therefore, very quickly those Russians who advanced and consolidated began to run out of ammunition. When they consolidated, we detached them there. The Azov Corps was sent there, very motivated servicemen. And the mopping up took place quite quickly, as far as it was necessary. Nobody waited for any deadlines. Everything was done as it was possible, with minimal losses.A large number of Russians were captured and destroyed. And about 200 square kilometers were liberated. As President Zelensky said recently, we have information that the Russians are concentrating and preparing a counter-offensive in this very direction in order to regain the positions they lost. Naturally, the Russians tell us that they will solve everything very quickly and achieve some phenomenal successes. It's not about what the Russians say; to listen to them seriously is to disrespect yourself. It's just that when a person or people brag about future victories, it looks, pardon the word, a little mean. There is even a proverb: don't brag about future victories - it doesn't look very nice. And Russians do it all the time. They have "super missile" or "super torpedo" or "super successes". And then, when that doesn't happen, let's remember what Putin told Trump on the eve of their meeting in Alaska: that in 60 days they would solve almost all the issues of the "special military operation". I'd like to remind you that the 60 days that Putin was pathetically telling Trump about ended on September 2. Then there was the next deadline - October 15: to capture Pokrovsk, Mirnograd and Konstantinovka. And that was such a deadline. It hasn't worked out yet. The next deadline was mid-November. And again the Russians are talking pathetically that by the middle of November they will definitely solve everything and win everything. But you can't say so in advance. We should not sink to the level of the Russians and say that we will definitely kill everyone and they will not succeed. In a year and a half the Russians have not managed to encircle or capture Pokrovsk. Why they should succeed in the next week and a half is not entirely clear. They have failed for a year and a half, but in a week and a half, in their opinion, they will succeed - this is the logic of the Russians.PATREONSupport the website Write your comment You can support the website Charter97.orgMULTI-CURRENCY ACCOUNT FOR ASSISTANCE:Bank's name: Bank Millennium S.A.Address: ul.
