The fund will acquire minority stakes in companies, ensuring current owners maintain operational control over their businesses.

Background

Norfund is Norway's investment fund operating in developing countries. Owned by the Norwegian government, it manages the Ukraine Investment Fund, which finances commercial and infrastructure projects to rebuild Ukraine.

Norfund began investing in Ukrainian projects through initiatives such as the expansion of the M10 Industrial Park in Lviv and the Horizon Capital Catalyst Fund (HCCF).

As Rubryka reported, people often view Ukraine's large-scale reconstruction as a process that will start after hostilities end. However, for Ukrainian businesses, recovery remains a daily reality — companies are simultaneously repairing damaged facilities, relocating production lines, building backup energy sources, and purchasing new equipment under active shelling.

It should be noted that the joint US-Ukrainian recovery investment fund completed its first deal in critical minerals extraction, investing approximately 30 million US dollars. Overall, the fund has already launched five projects totaling 70 million US dollars.
