Luxembourg gives Ukrainian rescuers modern airfield fire engine
The handover of the special-purpose vehicle was made possible through cooperation among the Ukrainian Firefighters charity foundation, North Defense, and the Ministry of Defense of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The partners have long supported Ukrainian rescuers by providing them with vehicles, equipment, and training.
During the handover ceremony, Roman Prymush, deputy head of Ukraine's State Emergency Service, thanked international partners for their assistance and said such support strengthens the service's ability to respond quickly to emergencies and save Ukrainian lives.
Background
It is worth noting that Ukraine's State Emergency Service recently received five specialized pickup trucks from the Republic of Korea to enhance rescue units' capabilities.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine's State Emergency Service had received six new mechanized demining machines. The transfer became possible thanks to cooperation between UNDP Ukraine and the governments of Sweden, Croatia, France, and the Netherlands.
