Joint Exercises And Defense Technology Development — Details Of Poland And The UK’s New Defense Cooperation Plan
Poland and the United Kingdom have signed a three-year defense cooperation plan. It provides for joint military exercises, defense technology development, and scaling up weapons production. The two countries’ defense ministers, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Wes Streeting, announced this at a briefing in Warsaw, UATV English relays.
Among the priorities are long-range precision-guided systems, drones, counter-drone assets, artificial intelligence, and joint defense projects. The two sides also reaffirmed their support for Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
It should be recalled that Europe is rethinking its approach to its own security. NATO countries are conducting large-scale exercises, preparing for joint operations, and increasing defense spending. Against this backdrop, Ukraine’s role is also changing. A state that has resisted full-scale Russian invasion for nearly five years now is not only receiving military aid, but also offering allies its own technology and combat experience.
