Russian attack kills Polish volunteer in Kharkiv
Information about the death of the volunteer, Marek, first appeared on July 30 on the page of the Facebook group Razem dla Ukrainy / "Together for Ukraine," where Marek Rusek-Wolski was an administrator. The post said he had been killed in Kharkiv on July 27 in a Russian drone strike.

The portal for Ukrainians in Poland, "Nash Vybir," reported on its regular humanitarian trips to Ukraine since 2023. He delivered food, animal feed, and other aid to frontline settlements, mostly in the Kharkiv region.
In July this year, he wrote on social media that, in addition to delivering aid, he had taken part in evacuating the bodies of killed civilians.
"War is terrible. I transported the bodies of the dead to a safe place, where the police were already waiting. It was moving to drive through villages where people knelt and threw flowers in front of the convoy — this is how they honor killed civilians and soldiers," the volunteer wrote.

Earlier, it was reported that a 40-year-old British volunteer, Chris Garrett, who was engaged in demining, died in the Kharkiv region.
Moreover, a farewell ceremony was held on Independence Square in Kyiv for 20-year-old Lithuanian volunteer Tomas Valentalis, who died on March 13 during artillery fire on the Kupiansk front.
Also, on June 11, Kyiv held a farewell ceremony for Jan Sebastian Restrepo Mazo, a Colombian who chose Ukraine as the place where he would serve and as his second homeland.
A farewell ceremony for Lithuanian volunteer Ignas Kailius, who was killed while defending Ukraine, took place on Kyiv's Independence Square on July 17. The 25-year-old soldier had been considered missing since early June after carrying out a combat mission, and his death was later confirmed.
