Russia launches 68 missiles and 430 drones in attack on Ukraine
According to the military, during the night of March 14 (from 18:00 on March 13), the enemy carried out a combined strike on critical infrastructure facilities using strike drones and land‑ and sea‑launched missiles. In total, radar units of the Air Force detected 498 aerial threats:
The Air Force noted that about 250 of them were Shahed drones.
"The main direction of the strike was the Kyiv region," the military added.
Air defense against the attack was carried out by:
• aviation• missile air‑defense units• electronic warfare and unmanned systems units• mobile fire groups
As of 09:00, preliminary data shows that Ukrainian air defense shot down or suppressed 460 targets — 58 missiles and 402 UAVs of various types:
"Six missiles and 28 strike UAVs hit 11 locations, and debris from downed UAVs fell at seven locations," the military said.
The Air Force added that the status of four enemy missiles is still being clarified.
The attack was still ongoing, with several enemy drones remaining in the airspace.
Russia's attack on the night of March 14
As a reminder, during the night of March 14, Russia launched a massive combined strike on the Kyiv region, causing destruction and fires in four districts of the region. There are injured civilians.
