Poroshenko brings batch of drones and equipment to ten brigades and battalions in Sumy region
The leader of the European Solidarity party, MP Petro Poroshenko handed over drones and equipment to ten units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in Sumy region.
The cost of the aid exceeds UAH 40 million, the list of transferred equipment was formed according to the requests of the fighters, Poroshenko reported on Facebook.
"We came to Sumy region to our friends, who are now fighting the Russians and their henchmen from North Korea in one of the most difficult sections of the front - on the other side of the Russian-Ukrainian border. The guys are holding back the invasion, firmly holding positions and destroying equipment and manpower of the enemy. But they need support, so we quickly collected and brought the cargo promised to the command," the European Solidarity leader wrote.
"Yesterday, while the team was making the final preparations for this transfer, I was reproached in the Verkhovna Rada, "They will sort it out at the front without you! We will provide them with everything." I arrived, but I don't see you or your aid," the MP states.
He called on his fellow parliamentarians to raise UAH 40 million to provide for the army and "announced a challenge for the Servant of the People party members" who complained about him in the Rada," the political force's website reports.
"We are initiating a competition - you will have to provide UAH 40 million for the army. We will share the numbers of the brigades that need aid. You have a week - so stick to the challenge that you have posed to me and the Armed Forces," Poroshenko called on the parliamentarians.
