Three dead, 13 wounded, oncology center hit because of morning shelling in Kherson region - National Police
Three civilians in Kherson region were killed and 13 were wounded as a result of shelling by Russian occupiers on Saturday morning, the website of the National Police of Ukraine reported on Saturday.
"In the morning, the occupiers carried out a massive combined shelling of Kherson and coastal areas from barrel artillery and multiple launch rocket systems. Explosions were heard for about an hour in all districts of Kherson. As a result of the attack by the Russians, a 53-year-old and a 75-year-old man were killed, another 11 civilians were injured - seven men aged 42 to 86 and four women aged 45 to 69. They were taken to medical facilities with mine-explosive injuries, shrapnel wounds and concussions," the report says.
In Antonivka, as a result of another attack by Russians from an unmanned aerial vehicle, a 52-year-old local resident was killed.
"The Russian army also fired artillery at Bilozerka. As a result of the explosions, a 58-year-old woman received a blast injury and a concussion, and an 82-year-old man received a concussion and a fragment wound to the back of the head. The victims were taken to the hospital," the National Police report says.
The enemy dropped 10 guided bombs on Sadove and Antonivka from aircraft, two guided bombs hit the premises of an oncology hospital. Subsequently, Russian troops dropped two more bombs on Novooleksandrivka in Beryslav district, destroying the premises of a kindergarten, and damaging a school. Information about the victims and damage is being clarified.
In Kherson, two police vehicles were damaged as a result of shelling and a drone strike, but no law enforcement officers were injured.
