Danny Röhl: Rangers head coach a target for Red Bull Salzburg after less than a year with Ibrox side
Red Bull Salzburg are interested in appointing Rangers' Danny Röhl as head coach.
It is understood the Austrian Bundesliga club are sounding out options as they look to replace Daniel Beichler, who was sacked last month after finishing third in the league.
While RB Salzburg admire Röhl, who signed an initial deal with Rangers until the summer of 2028, it is thought there has been no direct contact to Ibrox chiefs at this stage.

The 37-year-old took over from Russell Martin in October 2025, with the club sixth in the league and led them into the title race before falling short towards the end of last season.
Röhl himself said he was looking forward to the new season and hoped to learn from his first seven months in the role.
Chairman Andrew Cavenagh then confirmed Röhl would be given the backing to "revamp" the squad and carry out "significant change" over the summer in order to help win the league next season.

Röhl began his coaching career at RB Leipzig, where he progressed to assisting Ralph Hasenhuttl before following him to Southampton in 2018.

He then became assistant manager to Hansi Flick at Bayern Munich in 2019, helping the club win the Bundesliga.
In October 2023, he became a manager for the first time, guiding Sheffield Wednesday to Championship safety, having inherited a side that earned just two points from their first 10 games and then guided them to 12th in his final season before leaving.
