Red Bull's Max Verstappen claimed his sixth win of the 2022 F1 season to extend his lead at the top of the drivers' championship. The Dutch star managed to hold off Ferrari's Carlos Sainz as the Spaniard pushed for his maiden F1 victory up until the very last lap. A late safety car set up a thrilling duel between the pair over the final 15 laps. For the second time this season, Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez was forced to retire from the race due to engine problems, while Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton grabbed his second podium this campaign in third.
