Rebuilding Ukraine: Kyiv restores 1958 historic fountain near VDNH Therapeutic Garden
As noted, the facility was built in 1958 and has now been restored while preserving some authentic elements.
VDNH said the location is important for the complex: it once served as a recreation area and dance floor, but later fell into disrepair.

At the same time, they left the granite rim of the basin unchanged to preserve the historical connection with the structure's original appearance.
They also installed warm lighting near the fountain, which will highlight the space in the evening.
In addition, they renovated the surrounding area and created a full recreational zone with benches with backrests for visitors to rest.
Background
It should be noted that Diia will launch a wedding zone on Aug. 8-9. Couples will be able to register their marriage at the "Vyrii. Open Air" festival in the KYT performance pavilion at VDNH. The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine are jointly implementing the initiative to ensure that the marriage has full legal force.
To get married at "Vyrii," couples need to fill out a form via the link. After selection, the team will pass the participants' data to representatives of Diia and the Ministry of Justice for document checks. Each couple will then separately agree on the day and time of the ceremony.
