Demining Coalition to provide Ukraine with €205 million worth of equipment and machinery this year

Representatives of 13 countries, the NATO Representation to Ukraine, the Central Project Management Agency (CPVA), Tetra Tech, the MAT Kosovo training center, and the Canadian charitable organization Mriya Aid took part in the meeting.

Particular attention was given to international assistance aimed at strengthening Ukraine's national demining capabilities, especially through technical equipment and personnel training tailored to the needs of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian delegation was headed by Colonel Ruslan Berehulia, Chief of the Main Department for Mine Action, Civil Protection and Environmental Safety and Head of the Secretariat of the National Mine Action Authority.

"Ukraine faces the task of restoring safe living conditions for people, rebuilding affected territories, and laying the foundation for the country's future development. Achieving this goal is impossible without an effective mine action system and the further development of demining capabilities," Berehulia said.

At the same time, participating countries plan to mobilize an additional €142 million in 2027 to support mine action efforts in Ukraine.

As of today, the Demining Capability Coalition for Ukraine includes 23 member states. Its areas of activity cover both military and humanitarian demining, with the coalition's primary objective being to secure international support in these fields.
