Australia commits additional $100 mln in military aid for Ukraine
The government noted that, in partnership with NATO, Australia is helping Ukraine secure critical military equipment needed for self-defense, including air defense systems and ammunition.
The new commitment brings Australia's total support for Ukraine to more than 1.8 billion dollars, including more than 1.6 billion dollars in military assistance since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, the ministry said.
Canberra also remains involved in the Coalition of the Willing, a group of more than 35 countries working to strengthen support for Ukraine and help secure a just and lasting peace.
The Australian Defense Force continues to train Ukrainian troops through Operation Kudu. The training currently takes place in Poland as part of Operation Interflex, a multinational mission led by Norway.
