Massive Russian strike hits six districts in Kyiv: widespread fires, destruction, and many injured

As reported by the Air Force, the occupiers first launched Shahed-type strike drones at the Ukrainian capital. Later, Kyiv was under a combined enemy strike; in parallel with the strike drones, the enemy launched missiles of various types.

Falling debris, including damaged non-residential buildings, cars, and a multi-storey building, was recorded in several districts of Kyiv. Fires broke out.

According to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, rescue teams are actively working at the attacked sites. He warned that the threat remains high, as new air targets continue to be detected on the outskirts of the Ukrainian capital.

At the same time, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko reported that the number of victims from the enemy attack has increased.

At about 7 a.m., Klychko added that more than 40 people were injured as a result of the enemy's massive attack in the capital. More than 30 of them were hospitalized. One man, a US citizen, died during the attack.

In addition, Klychko reported that in the Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi districts, "there was a power outage due to the operation of automatics." He added: "Energy crews are already working."

According to the acting rector of KAI, the Russians hit dormitory number 10 with drones, and the blast wave damaged the windows in three more.

Doctors and psychologists have been on duty in the lobby of dormitory number 10. In the comments to the posts, the rector confirmed that there were wounded students, they were taken away by ambulance, and the injuries are not serious.

She also added that students and staff are being relocated from the damaged dormitory.
