SB Nation’s new login system: What you need to know

Last week we announced that SB Nation is moving to a new platform in August. As part of that change we’re upgrading to a new account & login system across all SB Nation communities. Here’s what you need to know:
Your account info is safe. As long as you use the same email, all your data—username, avatar, join date (the real one), and comment count—will be preserved.
Will I lose anything?
No. We’re not deleting any data. If anything goes wrong, contact us for help at support@sbnation.com.
What about my avatar?
Your current avatar will be migrated. You can update or remove it by going to Edit Profile. Avatar uploads will return in the weeks after launch.
What about Twitter/Yahoo users?
If Twitter or Yahoo is your only login, you’ve been seeing a message prompting you to add a password or Google/Facebook auth. If you don’t do this prior to 8/5 you’ll be asked to set a password after the switch. This process requires a valid email address to complete.
What if I already have an account on New York magazine, The Verge, Polygon, Vox, or Eater?
Our new login system is shared across all Vox Media properties. If you already have an account on one of these sites and it uses the same email as your SB Nation account then your SB Nation login method will switch to the one used on the other site(s). Some example scenarios are below:
