College football polls: Updated AP Top 25, Coaches Poll rankings after Week 2

Chaos has made an early appearance in the 2022 college football season. That starts at the top of last week's rankings, where top-ranked Alabama managed to limp out of Austin, Texas with a 20-19 win in tow. Like the 2010 BCS championship game, the Longhorns were without their starting quarterback, Quinn Ewers, who exited the game near the end of the first quarter with a sprained clavicle. Fans likewise were not happy with officiating in the game. While the Crimson Tide maintained their spot atop the coaches' poll, they fell out of the No. 1 spot in the AP Top 25, with Georgia moving up after a shutout of FCS opponent Samford.  At least Alabama won. The same could not be said for fellow top-10 teams Texas A&M or Notre Dame. The sixth-ranked Aggies and eighth-ranked Fighting Irish fell 17-14 to Appalachian State and 26-21 to Marshall, respectively.
