Williams, who has won 23 Grand Slams titles dating to the 1998 Australian Open, will be 41 at the end of September. Betting favorites at the US Open, according to Sports Interaction, are Iga Swiatek (+293), Simona Halep (+593) and Naomi Osaka (+1100). This will be Swiatek's fourth US Open appearance; she was eliminated in the fourth round in 2021. This year, she has won the French Open, defeating Coco Gauff, and reached the semifinals of the Australian Open. The US Open will be held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City, Aug. 29 through Sep. 11.
