Chalobah has recently played well for Chelsea, and last season he started playing more frequently for Thomas Tuchel’s first squad. Although Wesley Fofana appears to be joining the Blues next, as per Fabrizio Romano in the tweet below, it is perhaps understandable that the future of Chalobah was put in some doubt given the heightened competition for a spot in the first squad after Kalidou Koulibaly joined the club this summer.
