LIV Golf Portland course details: Distance, hole details for Pumpkin Ridge

LIV Golf makes its long-awaited U.S. debut, on a long, long course. The series returns to the links this weekend, with an ever-expanding field taking hacks in the great Pacific Northwest starting Thursday. Not only is LIV back, but Bryson DeChambeau, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and others are making their first U.S. appearance for the upstart Saudi-backed golf league. While Mickelson and Johnson played in the inaugural event outside London, DeChambeau is taking on his first LIV event at a course that might be suited for his skillset. This week's course is no shorty: The total distance sits at 7,641 yards and features three par-5 holes, perfect for DeChambeau's bombs-away mindset. Here's what you need to know about Pumpkin Ridge outside Portland, Ore.: MORE: Who is playing in the LIV Golf series? The Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club will play host to the United States debut of the LIV Golf Invitational Series. It's not the first time that Pumpkin Ridge has hosted a golf tournament. In 1996, the course hosted the U.S. Amateur Championship, which was won by Tiger Woods for his third consecutive amateur title. Pumpkin Ridge also played home to the U.S. Women's Open in 1997 and 2003. MORE: Who will win at LIV Golf Portland? LIV is reportedly using holes from the Witch Hollow and Ghost Creek courses at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club: 13 from Ghost Creek and five from Witch Hollow. With that formation, the course is 7,641 yards long, with three par-5 holes. Two of those par-5s are in the first five holes. Players who start on the sixth hole won't face a par-5 until 17.
