I hate to say it, but the future of deodorant has a lot in common with a high school boys' locker room. Beauty brands have been taking cues from the ubiquitous Axe Body Spray — probably subconsciously — and creating deodorant formulas that are a head-to-toe affair. Somehow, my internet algorithm has also caught onto this full-body deodorant trend because I can't go on TikTok or watch a show on live television without being bombarded by ads for them. However, these new deodorants neutralize odors rather than mask them in a suffocating cloud of toxic masculinity. Excuse me, I mean Anarchy or Dark Temptation. All the while the latest formulas are marketed toward women and are made with ingredients that are gentle for both skin and the environment.
