Everyone keeps saying New York Fashion Week is back, but this year they really mean it. The six-day schedule hasn't seen this many back-to-back shows and parties in nearly three years. There’s also more than a few noteworthy firsts, from Marni showing in the city to Fendi hosting a special show in celebration of the 25th anniversary of its baguette bag. Tommy Hilfiger is returning to New York with a show held against the Manhattan skyline, while Collina Strada kept things interesting with a runway in the middle of a cemetery-turned-monarch-butterfly-preserve. Even Bottega Veneta is getting in the New York groove with its just-launched Intrecciato version of The Strand bookstore tote.
