Though some might shy away from a color as bold and bright as orange, Tracee Ellis Ross embraced the electrifying hue with a sophisticated monochrome look.
The Black-ish actress attended the U.K. launch of her hair product line, Pattern Beauty, wearing a knit tangerine midi dress fresh from Aje's resort 2023 collection. The structural, body-hugging piece included subtle shoulder padding, an open back, and raffia detailing on the bell-shaped skirt.
She continued the tangerine theme with her accessories, opting for an eye-catching pair of pumps from L.A.-based shoe label Femme and orange hoop earrings from Uncommon Matters.
Ross shared some behind-the-scenes photos of her showstopping look via Instagram, simply captioning the slideshow with an orange emoji.

Vibrant color palettes are typical for Ross, who works with celeb stylist Karla Welch to curate her signature looks.
At another recent event for Pattern, Welch dressed the star in a luminescent yellow gown from the Vietnam-based label Cong Tri. The dress featured a deep-V cut and a collared neckline, combining the best of workwear chic with red-carpet elegance. Once again going monochrome, the look was paired with bright yellow pumps from Christian Louboutin and gold hoop earrings.
In 2019, Ross talked to BAZAAR.com about creating Pattern.
"This has been 20 years of dreaming and 10 years of actively trying to make this happen," she said. "Ten years ago, right after Girlfriends finished, I wrote my first haircare brand pitch. Originally the comment and response to me was, 'what was my credibility?' I 'needed to partner with a professional.' As I explained but was not listened to, for most of us curly girls, we are our best experts. We know our hair better than anyone else."
