HBO’s Westworld is easily one of the most unique shows to watch right now, with themes centered on consciousness and what it means to be human. It’s set against the backdrop of an amusement park and a dystopian future, where wealthy guests can live out their most violent, depraved fantasies without consequence. Androids, known as hosts, are the entertainment in any way the guests desire (as you can probably imagine, it gets pretty dark), but things start going south when the hosts start to question the nature of their reality.
It can be challenging, then, to find other series that compare, but keeping the themes of Westworld in mind—with subjects like mystery and humanity—these are other shows to whet your appetite ahead of Westworld Season 4.
