Halsey Matched Their Lips to Their Burgundy Ombré Hair at the Grammys

It's been five years since Halsey has walked the Grammy Awards red carpet in five years, and don't think for one second that we didn't feel that absence. So when we saw them arrive for the 2022 Grammys, it was a combination of a sigh of relief and a gasp of delight over the absolutely stunning and delightfully matchy-matchy beauty look. Much of Halsey's hair was covered by a dramatic, tilted, wide-brim Pierre Cardin hat, revealing only the expertly sculpted strands at their temple — held in place by Tresemmé Tres Two Extra Hold Gel — and the last few inches of their flippy new bob were peeking out and revealing a new color. It seems they're currently rocking a burgundy ombré, the very ends drenched in vibrant cranberry red blending from a darker, nearly black shade. Stylist Marty Harper used the Harry Josh Pro Tools Ceramic Flat Styling Iron to bevel the flip and secured it with Tresemmé Tres Two Freeze Hold Hair Spray The ombré burgundy theme carried over into Halsey's makeup — both lips and hair. Their glossy, wine-colored lips seamlessly get darker toward the perimeter. Their dark, oxblood eyeliner also has an ombré feel, with the wing subtly blurred around the edges. "The last time I attended the Grammys was 2017 and it was 3 days after I had my first Endometriosis surgery. I walked the carpet with my stitches still in," Halsey wrote in an Instagram caption a day earlier. "As luck would have it, I’m attending tomorrow for the first time in years and I had surgery again (you guessed it) 3 days ago. Only posting this to say, if you see me be gentle lol I’m fragile. Halsey walked with the utmost confidence in their strapless gown, hopefully feeling as comfortable as they look — we'd never know if they hadn't told us. And we can only hope we don't have to wait another five years to see them in such a stunning Grammys look.
