Zelenskyy Called with Truss about Russian Sham Referendums

The UK Prime Minister Liz Truss had a telephone conversation with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday. They talked, in particular, about the sham referendums in the occupied territories of Ukraine. This was reported by the offices of Zelenskyy and Truss. According to the President of Ukraine, he expects "London's leadership in the reaction to the Russian sham referendums": "The answer should be only increased military and financial aid for Ukraine." In turn, according to the message from the UK side, Truss made clear that the UK would never recognise Russian attempts to annexe sovereign territory, and "Ukraine could depend on the UK's support until President Putin was defeated."
