Lukashenko supports Russia's war, but rules out invading Ukraine

Belarus supports Russia’s war against Ukraine, but will not take part in it unless attacked first, Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko said during a publicity event on Sept. 1. The dictator claimed that the so-called “demilitarization” of Ukraine had tobe done “to prevent NATO from deploying its modern missiles” and nuclear weapons on Ukrainian soil. “Would it have made things easier for us? No; that’s why we absolutely support Russia in this regard,” said Lukashenko.
