Sanctions against the aggressor state of russia and its satellites can be effective only if they are applied in all areas.russia is an aggressor state that had made many countries around the world addicted to russian oil and gas supplies long before the invasion of Ukraine.The United States and Britain have realised in time that such dependence is deadly and have found the will to give it up, while some European Union states have become very dependent on russian gas. The latter ones continue to mention that it should take time to say No to russian petrochemicals in order for the economic effect to be less significant. However, even they have already understood the price of gas dependence on russia: the EU plans to reduce dependence on russian gas by 2/3 this year alone.Innocent civilians are dying in Ukraine as politicians discuss new sanctions on Russia and the abandonment of Russian gas consumption.The flow of refugees from Ukraine increases the likelihood of a pan-European humanitarian catastrophe, which would cost Europe much more than Russia's total embargo.Avoiding catastrophic consequences requires, above all, the joint decisive action of all civilized countries and, in particular, the countries of the European community.Thus, all russian and belarusian financial institutions must be disconnected from the international payment system SWIFT, in particular, the Russian bank Sberbank, which is partly owned by PJSC Gazprom, one of the key companies financing the war against Ukraine, must be disconnected.Putin's russian aggression against Ukraine is fueled by the aggressor's calculation to preserve profits from the sale of hydrocarbons.An embargo on Russian oil, gas and coal, which is now the main source of funding for the war, must be imposed urgently. Proceeds from the sale of hydrocarbons, including those used for new winged missiles against Ukrainian settlements.In addition, Europe must stop cooperating with russian companies in the fisheries sector.In particular, Russia is still involved in the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (NAFO) and the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR).The General Commission for Fisheries in the Mediterranean (GFCM) has not yet stopped cooperating with russia, which carries out unauthorized fishing in Ukrainian Black Sea waters adjacent to the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine).Any delay allows russia to make a profit from fishing and finance the bloodthirsty war against Ukraine.To stop the war, it is essential to impose a comprehensive embargo on any possible relations with russia and belarus, which will close any possible loopholes (to circumvent sanctions).Sanctions must not only be tougher, but also cover a wider range of russia's ruling elite.The sanctions list must include a wider segment of Russian officials, including governors and mayors who support and are part of the Putin regime's policies.A full embargo is currently the most effective way to force putinism to stop killing civilians, destroying homes, schools, daycare facilities and hospitals in Ukraine.You are able to stop getting our children slaughtered!
