The war, which was cynically started by Russia, has been going on for the second month now. Every day the Ukrainians are suffering from enemy missiles, bombs and bullets. The civilian infrastructure is being destroyed. The russian occuping forces are planting mines in settlements and agricultural lands.During the war in Ukraine, the most difficult and responsible sowing campaign in the history of independence is grinding on. The food security of the state and the world depends on timely and coordinated actions of farmers. And it is during this period that the enemy attacks on fuel depots have become more frequent. On March 24, 2022, the oil depot in the village of Kalynivka near Kyiv was destroyed. On March 26, 2022, a missile strike burned down an oil depot in Lviv. On the same day, an attack was carried out on an oil depot in Dubno, Rivne Region, on March 27, 2022 - in Volyn. The enemy is attacking the food security of our country and the world!Ukraine is one of the TOP-3 suppliers of food to the global market. We are the world's fifth largest exporter of wheat, the fourth largest producer of corn, the third largest producer of barley and the largest seller of sunflower oil. Also, our country is one of the leaders in the production of nuts, rapeseed, peas, millet, wheat flour, honey and other agricultural products. At the same time, due to Russia's full-scale invasion, the area under crops in Ukraine may be reduced by 30%, which will have a negative impact on the food security of countries that have imported Ukrainian agricultural products. Ukraine provides food to more than 400 million people worldwide. Due to the lack of Ukrainian food in European countries, a food crisis may break out, and in African countries - hunger may increase. Russia's missile strikes on Ukraine's oil depots are strikes on crops and, consequently, on food security around the world, say Ukrainian MPs, who are members of the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy. That is why the members of the Committee once again call on the world to close the skies over Ukraine!
