Russian strike on Kramatorsk public buses kills at least 12 people and injures 14

According to the Kramatorsk City Council, Russian forces targeted a public bus operating in the city. The vehicle was carrying passengers at the time of the strike.

The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office clarified that the strike targeted two public buses, not one, as the Regional Military Administration had initially reported.

According to preliminary findings, Russian forces likely shelled the bus using a UMPB D-30 SN gliding munition.

The UMPB D-30 SN is a unified interspecific gliding munition with a 30-centimeter caliber.

"I urge everyone remaining in the Donetsk region to evacuate to safer regions of Ukraine," the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration added.

According to the Regional Military Administration, Russian forces killed four residents in the Donetsk region over the past day, October 7:

Six other people across the region sustained injuries during the same 24-hour period, the Regional Military Administration reported.

As Rubryka reported, a Russian FPV drone struck a patrol police service vehicle in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, on October 6. Police officer Artem Kovtun died in the attack, and three other law enforcement officers suffered injuries.

Moreover, Russian forces attacked ambulances and an apartment building with FPV drones in Kramatorsk on the evening of October 5. The strikes killed a 49-year-old woman and injured four other people.

Additionally, as of mid-September 2026, Russian shelling had damaged 3,343 private houses and 366 apartment buildings across the Sloviansk community, with some homes sustaining damage repeatedly for a second or third time.
