Later, the Kyiv City Military Administration clarified that falling debris sparked the fire in the building.
Meanwhile, the SES reported that a Russian drone directly struck the 12-story residential building at the 10th-floor level. The fire spread to the upper floors, and structural elements partially collapsed.
On the morning of October 8, rescuers confirmed that two people died in the attack. Rescuers found their bodies in one of the damaged apartments.

At the same time, during the emergency response, rescuers saved 22 people, including eight children. Emergency responders handed over another four injured people, including two children, to medical personnel.
The fire covered an area of 100 square meters. Rescuers extinguished the blaze and continued to clarify information regarding the victims.

In addition, SES psychologists provided support to 12 residents of the damaged building.

Later, the SES informed that Russian shelling killed one person and injured four others. In the Obolonskyi district, a car parked in the courtyard of a residential building caught fire due to an attack. Rescuers put out the fire and found the body of a deceased woman a few meters from the vehicle.
Furthermore, following the Russian attack on the evening of October 7, emergency power outages were implemented across Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Because power was cut to several water pumping stations on the right bank of the capital, the water supply was disrupted.

It should be noted that on the night of October 7, Russian forces attacked Kyiv, Kremenchuk in the Poltava region, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Pryluky in the Chernihiv region, and Oleksandriia in the Kirovohrad region.
