United to win: Finland allocates €290 mln in its 34th defense aid package for Ukraine

Finland's Ministry of Defense said this is the country's second-largest aid package by value to date.

He said that, in addition to transferring defense equipment from its own stockpiles, Finland has purchased products from its domestic defense industry for Ukraine, some of which are part of this package.

"In this way, Finland's support for Ukraine will also help strengthen the capacity of our own defense industry," Häkkänen noted.

The ministry said it would not disclose further details about the package's contents, delivery methods, or schedule for operational reasons. It added that the decision took into account both Ukraine's needs and the Finnish Defense Forces' resources.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha thanked Helsinki for its support and noted that this package is the second-largest since Russia launched its full-scale invasion.

Sybiha added that Finland has now supplied Ukraine with military equipment and materiel worth 3.6 billion euros.
