Ukraine's armed forces strike oil refinery in Syzran and drone production facility in Taganrog
The president said Ukraine continues to strike facilities that support Russia's defense industry.
The Special Operations Forces clarified that their deep strike units carried out the operation alongside the Unmanned Systems Forces and Ukraine's Security Service.
Strikes on the Syzran oil refinery in the Samara region sparked a fire. According to the General Staff, the strikes hit:
The Special Operations Forces said several of their drones reached their targets. According to the operators, a large fire broke out at the facility.
The Syzran refinery is part of Rosneft. It has an annual oil refining capacity of approximately 8.9 million tonnes. The plant produces gasoline, diesel, aviation fuel, and other petroleum products. It also supplies the Russian armed forces.
Meanwhile, the strikes also targeted the Atlant Aero facility in Taganrog. Explosions and a fire were reported at the site.

Commenting on the strikes, Zelenskyi also stressed that Russia continues to attack Ukraine's energy facilities, logistics, and critical infrastructure.
"Russia continues to strike our energy facilities, civilian logistics, and critical infrastructure. Our responses are making themselves felt," he said.

Overnight into September 12, Ukrainian drones attacked at least two Russian cities: the KuibyshevAzot chemical plant came under attack in Tolyatti, while reports from Taganrog described fires at a former car factory and near a military airfield.
Overnight into September 11, several Russian regions also reported drone and missile attacks on industrial and logistics facilities. The reported targets included the Saratov oil refinery and an OZON logistics complex in the Saratov region, the Volgogradpromproekt chemical facility in Volgograd, and a chemical plant in the Perm region.
