Zelenskyi said the war must end and that halting strikes on critical infrastructure could be the first step toward peace.
Background
As Rubryka previously reported, US President Donald Trump called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi the day before to stop strikes on Russian infrastructure involved in diesel fuel production.
The Kremlin, in turn, welcomed US President Donald Trump's call for Ukraine to stop striking Russia's oil refineries. However, Moscow did not say whether Russia itself would stop attacking Ukraine's economic infrastructure if Kyiv agreed to the proposal.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump claimed that Ukraine and the Russian Federation had agreed not to strike each other's energy facilities. Neither Kyiv nor Moscow has yet confirmed that such an agreement exists.
