Russia strikes gas station and passenger train locomotive near Polish border — Ukraine's FM
Valentyna Chernysh, a spokesperson for the Volyn Customs Office, also confirmed the strike to Suspilne. According to her, falling debris caused a fire at the gas station and several trucks parked nearby.
It was noted that all border operations were suspended during the air raid alert, while people remained in shelters. As of now, the Yahodyn–Dorohusk border crossing is operating as usual.
In addition, Ukrzaliznytsia reported that Russian forces struck the locomotive of a passenger train in Volyn, two kilometers from the Polish border. The train was traveling from Kyiv to Warsaw. No one was injured — a monitoring group warned the train crew of the threat in advance.
Sybiha called the attack "Putin's terror "knocking" directly on the doors of the EU and NATO."
"Act now: throw the full weight of your sanctions at Putin's aggressive regime. Make Moscow feel the consequences of its terror. Not just half-decisions, but uncompromising, powerful steps. Full trade embargo. Full entry bans. Full sanctions on the military-industrial complex," the foreign minister said.
As Rubryka previously reported, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on September 10 that Poland expects Russian attacks on its border crossings with Ukraine. He made the statement amid Russian strikes on international border crossings.
It should be recalled that overnight on September 9, Russian drones attacked the Starokozache international border crossing on the border with Moldova. According to the State Emergency Service, two people were killed and three others were injured.
