Nicole Kidman's Long Bangs Look So Good Obstructing Her Field of Vision
They say beauty is pain. And that's sometimes true. (Have you ever clamped down on your lid with an eyelash curler? Gotten lip filler without numbing cream? You know what's up.) But in the case of Nicole Kidman's extra-long bangs, beauty isn't a pain so much as it's a minor inconvenience.
Curtain bangs are typically cut on the longer side because they're meant to be swept apart—you know, like curtains. But Nicole Kidman isn't one to follow rules when they don't suit her mood, so when she attended the Chanel Spring/Summer 2027 show at Paris Fashion Week on October 5, it appears she was fine with not really seeing the looks going down the runway because her curtain bangs were styled for privacy.
Kidman sat front row with daughter Faith Urban, who wore a gray Chanel cardigan with jeans. Kidman wore gray, too, in the form of an oversized, double-breasted tweed blazer that was just long enough to function as a dress.
And speaking of being just long enough, her bangs are just long enough to get stuck in her eyelashes. And while this would annoy the living hell out of nearly everyone in her situation, she not only handled it like a champ, she made it look good. I just know that if I tried this with my own curtain bangs, I would last a total of 12 seconds before my reflexes kicked in and I pushed my hair out of my eyes or did that cartoonishly exasperated extended-lower-lip exhale in an attempt to be released from the tactile and visual prison bars that are my fringe.
But this is Nicole Kidman we're talking about. Even if she's as irritated as so many of us would be with bangs directly over our pupils, pretending she's cool with it is an easy task for one of the best actresses of our time.
