Kate Middleton Wore a Vibrant Monochrome Blue Outfit to Scotland

Duchess Kate and Prince William are in Scotland for a visit that will take them through a round of outings focused on mental health. Kicking off their two-day trip, the couple, who are known as the Earl and Countess of Strathearn in the country, first went to Glasgow to participate in a Roots of Empathy session, a program that helps children identify their own feelings and the feelings of others, at St. John's Primary School. It's also an early intervention initiative run by one of Kate's passion projects, Action for Children, according to People. For the outing, Kate wore a monochrome, all-blue outfit consisting of matching navy trousers and an overcoat, and an azure blouse with a mock turtleneck. She kept the rest of her accessories to a minimum, stepping out in dark blue pumps, a black belt with gold hardware, and drop earrings. William looked relaxed in a blue suit, which he wore over a collared shirt and a sweater. Kate is known for her vested interest in early childhood development. The duchess has long been involved with projects that look to increase awareness and research in the field. She took her work on early childhood development to the next level by announcing The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood last June. "My own journey into understanding the importance of early childhood actually started with adults, and not with children," she explained in a video posted to the Cambridges' Instagram account last year. "It was about prevention. I wanted to understand what more we could do to help prevent some of today's toughest social challenges, and what more we could do to help with the rising rates of poor mental health."
