Bundestag decided to transfer Taurus missiles to Ukraine

On Thursday, Feb. 22, on the second attempt, the Bundestag voted for the recommendation to provide Ukraine with long-range systems to carry out "pinpoint strikes deep in the rear of the Russian aggressor".

This was reported by the MP for the "Servant of the People" Yegor Chernev.

The MP explained that this is a "coalition" document, unlike the "opposition", that was rejected a little earlier today.

Before that, the opposition pushed its own draft, but it included the name "Tauruses," so it was "cut down."

The coalition agreed on the text of "long-range weapons" as a compromise. But apart from Taurus, Germany has no other missiles of this kind.

But this decision has to be approved by Olaf Scholz, since the Chancellor always has the last word in matters of defense and foreign policy, explained Chernev.
