Extraordinary meeting of Drone Coalition: EUR 3 million for FPV drones from Lithuania and 450 multi-purpose unmanned aircraft complexes from Canada

This is stated in the notification of the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The Ministry of Defense notes that at an extraordinary meeting of the leadership group of the Drone Coalition, Ukraine informed its partners about the situation on the battlefield and the urgent needs to repel enemy attacks.

According to the results of the meeting, the Netherlands also confirmed its intention to contract a batch of Heidrun RQ-35 drones for EUR 200 million in cooperation with Denmark and Germany.

Germany will transfer VECTOR 211 reconnaissance drones.

"The situation at the front changes every day, the enemy continues to attack civilian objects, especially the energy infrastructure. We need tools for an asymmetric response. The time to discuss solutions is running out, we need it now," Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Kateryna Chernohorenko told the meeting participants.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Drone Coalition was officially launched within the framework of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein) in February 2024.

The co-leaders of the coalition are Great Britain and Latvia. Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden also joined the Coalition.
