On February 17, French President Emmanuel Macron instructed the government to "make a statement to parliament" regarding the bilateral security agreement signed with Ukraine on February 16 and the situation in Ukraine in general, after which there will be "debates and votes."
It should be noted that France invited Ukraine's allies and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to participate in a video conference on March 7. The meeting aims to demonstrate a "united front" and develop specific proposals for strengthening support for Ukraine.
Macron's high-profile statement about the possibility of sending Western troops to Ukraine was also discussed for a long time in Europe. After all, the French leader discussed sending his troops to Ukraine at a meeting he convened of Ukraine's partner countries in Paris on February 26.
