When Will Beyoncé's 'Renaissance' Visual Album Be Released?

Beyoncé's seventh studio album Renaissance has been the soundtrack to this past weekend, as fans immerse themselves in the superstar's grand foray into house music (and send the tracks to the top of the streaming charts). Amid the passionate response on Twitter, two questions have come up: How much should we save for tour tickets, and where are the videos? The "Formation" singer has become known for her innovative and breathtaking visual albums, including her Lemonade and Black Is King films, as well as her Netflix documentary Homecoming. Surprisingly, the star has yet to release a full music video for any of Renaissance's tracks, including the single "Break My Soul." For this release, Beyoncé is giving fans time to solely focus on the music. Per a press release from Parkwood Entertainment, visuals are "scheduled for a later date," though the statement did not clarify whether the star will release music videos for each track or a whole visual album. "The originator of the visual album format, and the preeminent visual artist, decided to lead without visuals giving fans the opportunity to be limitless in their expansive listening journey," the statement reads. "It is a chance again to be listeners and not viewers, while taking in every gem of the pristine production." A post shared by Beyoncé (@beyonce) Queen Bey's releases have always been unpredictable, so it's hard to guess whether she'll announce the visuals' arrival ahead of time, or just drop them by surprise. It's also unknown whether the visuals or a tour announcement will arrive soon, or after the next two parts of the star's three-act project are released. What we do know is that the videos will probably continue the stunning, futuristic-disco aesthetic that we've seen from the album's artwork so far. The superstar released several new album art stills last week along with a heartfelt note to fans, writing "We are going to take our time and enjoy the music." A post shared by Beyoncé (@beyonce)
