Russians are kidnapping and torturing people in the Kherson region

Natalia Bimbiraite is a human rights defender with over 20 years of experience. She is lithuanian by birth. Researches the Lithuanian history of the region heads several organizations in the Kherson region. Also, she has been volunteering since the beginning of Russian aggression in 2014. After the full-scale invasion, Natalia left Kherson for the territory controlled by Ukraine. Ever since has been helping the occupied and liberated communities of the Kherson region. She started with the delivery of medicines and products. For now, she brings large loads and cars from Lithuania for doctors and military personnel and helps residents of the Kherson region with evacuation. Natalia also records and documents war crimes committed by Russians in the region. No one knows the full picture of the terror of civilians. Moreover, not everything known to human rights defenders and law enforcement officers can be talked about publicly. Natalia told "Babel" how the methods of terror of the occupiers changed, how the situation differs in cities and villages, and how missing people are searched for in the captured territory.
