As of April 10, a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine killed 177 children and injured more than 336.“According to the data from juvenile prosecutors, Russian Federation's armed invasion of Ukraine has affected more than 513 children, killing 177 and injuring more than 336,” the Prosecutor General’s Office informs.It is noted that these figures are not final as work is underway to record casualties in the places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.As of April 10, most children were affected in Donetsk region – 108, Kyiv region – 93, Kharkiv region – 76, Chernihiv region – 51, Mykolayiv region – 40, Luhansk region – 35, Zaporizhzhia region – 22, Kherson region – 29, Kyiv city – 16, Sumy region – 16, Zhytomyr region – 15.In particular, while recording the war crimes committed in the populated localities of Chernihiv region liberated from Russian invaders, it was established that on March 4 in a village in Nizhyn district of Chernihiv region a 14-year-old boy and his brother went to a store and saw Russians robbing it. The children began to flee and were shot in the back by Russian servicemen. The 14-year-old boy died on the spot and his brother was wounded.On April 8, three children were wounded in the shelling of a civilian vehicle on the highway near the village of Karyerne, Beryslav district, Kherson region.On the same day, in a village of Dnipropetrovsk region, a three-year-old child received mine injuries as a result of shelling by Russian servicemen.On April 9, a nine-year-old child was injured in artillery shelling of a residential area in the town of Vuhledar, Donetsk region.As a result of daily bombings and shelling, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office, 938 educational institutions were damaged, of which 87 were completely destroyed.As reported, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has already recorded 1,766 deaths and 2,383 injuries of the civilian population of Ukraine, a total of 4,149 victims of the full-scale Russian invasion.ol
