It will allow them to plan the placement of new green generation facilities more effectively.
The platform makes it possible to assess whether specific areas are suitable for building solar and wind power plants, taking into account several criteria:
The Ministry of Energy says the new digital tool will support transparent and effective planning for the development of renewable energy sources and help attract investment to the sector.
Developers created the platform in line with the provisions of the Ukraine Facility program for 2024–2027 and the requirements of European Union regulations.
The tool is available via the link.
BackgroundIt should be noted that Norway signed an agreement with the EU under which it will provide Ukraine with 425 million Norwegian kroner, or about 40 million euros, for decentralized energy production, renewable energy, battery storage, and flexible local energy systems.
Rubryka also reported that Ukraine is restoring elements of its destroyed energy system while simultaneously building a new, more resilient, decentralized, and environmentally friendly energy system based on the principle of energy cells.
