Background
Earlier this April, seven more Ukrainian children were returned home from temporarily occupied territories thanks to efforts by the Ombudsman's Office and the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
Bring Kids Back UA is a presidential initiative that unites government agencies, civil society, and international partners to locate, return, and help reintegrate Ukrainian children who have been deported or forcibly relocated by Russia. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has already rescued more than 2,060 children.
As Rubryka has reported, the government is committed to supporting children who return to Ukrainian-controlled territory after deportation, forced relocation, or from temporarily occupied areas. The state has also introduced a one-time payment for every child who returns from such circumstances.
