Russian drones hit Kharkiv 11 times overnight, injuring 15 people, including three children

According to the mayor, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with strike drones on a massive scale.

"The enemy attacked the Shevchenkivskyi district with drones. A large group of Shaheds is heading toward the city," he said.

Terekhov later noted that the city had recorded at least 11 UAV strikes, while two more drones fell without detonating.

The attack hit the city's Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts. The strikes caused fires and damaged:

One drone hit a high-rise residential building. Cars burned near the building, surrounding houses were damaged, and windows were blown out. Another drone struck an apartment building between the eighth and ninth floors.

"Fortunately, it did not detonate. Residents were evacuated," the mayor said.

In addition, the building of one of Kharkiv's municipal enterprises was damaged. One of its employees was injured.

As of 03:23 a.m., the number of injured had risen to 15.

According to local authorities, Russian forces struck residential areas, civilian enterprises, shops, vehicles, and urban infrastructure facilities. Emergency services are working at the impact sites, and efforts to deal with the aftermath of the attack are ongoing.

Syniehubov also added that a missile strike on Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region killed three people and injured three others. The strikes set garages, cars, and grass in an open area on fire, and damaged residential and other buildings in the city.

Background

It should be noted that Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with strike drones on the morning of June 3. Strikes in the Kholodnohirskyi and Osnovianskyi districts injured six people, three of whom were hospitalized.
