Zelenskyi meets King Charles III at Windsor Castle

According to British media reports, the private audience took place at Windsor Castle.

King Charles III has publicly supported Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion. He has also previously met Ukrainian refugees who found shelter in the United Kingdom.

As Rubryka reported, this was not the first meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and King Charles III of the United Kingdom. In October 2025, they held their third meeting of that year.

On March 17, 2026, during a working visit to the United Kingdom, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi met King Charles III at Buckingham Palace for the fifth time. He presented him with a symbolic tablet providing access to a real-time combat monitoring system.

Background

It is worth adding that on June 7, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced his arrival in the United Kingdom for talks with Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron, and Friedrich Merz. The meeting focused on support for Ukraine, prospects for a peaceful settlement of the war, and coordination of further steps by European partners.

Following the meeting in London, the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, together with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, said Europe must play an active role in settling the Russian-Ukrainian war and outlined five conditions for achieving a just and lasting peace.

The participants separately noted Ukraine's recent battlefield successes, including the liberation of territories and the innovative use of drone technology.

At the same time, they condemned Russia's large-scale missile and drone attacks against Ukraine, including the repeated use of Oreshnik missiles, as well as incidents involving Russian drones entering the airspace of NATO countries.

In addition, the parties discussed further support for Ukraine. They paid significant attention to how NATO can use Ukraine's combat experience, as well as the prospects for long-term industrial cooperation with Ukraine to strengthen Europe's defense capabilities.
