Security in Ukrainian educational institutions remains a key challenge in wartime, as the need for rapid responses to potential threats continues to grow. Police officers serving in schools need modern technical equipment to work effectively, quickly detect dangerous items, and prevent risks to students and education staff.

At the end of 2023, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the creation of a safe educational environment, including the deployment of police officers in educational institutions and the installation of metal detectors and special screening frames. The initiative was named the "Educational Security Service."

It should be noted that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a list of dangerous items and substances prohibited on school and lyceum grounds and within their premises.
