270-meter "Rushnyk of Unity" created by Ukrainians worldwide arrives in Edinburgh
The cloth consists of 106 individual embroidered towels, created by professional and amateur artisans of different ages in Ukraine and many European countries. All the pieces were later joined into a single continuous rushnyk, which has become a symbol of the unbreakable bond between Ukrainians across the world.
The large-scale ethno-cultural project has already been officially entered into the record registries.
During the cultural event, Ukrainian Consul in Edinburgh Andrii Madzianovskyi addressed the participants. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of preserving Ukrainians' cultural identity abroad.

Performances by children's and adult Ukrainian choirs in Scotland added a special atmosphere to the presentation. Their joint participation symbolized the continuity of generations, the transmission of cultural heritage, and the strength of the Ukrainian community, which continues to preserve and enrich folk traditions even far from home.
At the end of the event, the diplomats thanked the project organizers, the embroidery authors, and the entire Ukrainian community of Edinburgh for carrying out this patriotic initiative.
Background
It should be noted that the cultural and artistic relay "International embroidered rushnyk of unity 'Tsvit Vyshyvanky'" was handed over to the Ukrainian diaspora in the United States.
Later, the Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago, United States, hosted a ceremony to receive and unfurl the embroidered rushnyk of unity, sent from the Ternopil region as part of the international "Tsvit Vyshyvanky" project.
As reported, the longest Ukrainian rushnyk of unity, "Ukraine in the palms of your hands," was created on the Irpin embankment in the Kyiv region to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, unite the Ukrainian people, and preserve traditions.
